Salvia jamensis White is a white Sage plant that is grown for its rich display of flowers from spring through autumn. It produces short flower spikes that host masses of showy, white flowers. The flowers sit neatly above the mid-green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies. All parts of the plant are aromatic and produce a lovely fragrance when crushed or brushed against. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. Salvia jamensis White is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage and “white” gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting really suits this plant and gives a very rewarding display.
