Tulbaghia Milky Way, commonly known as Society Garlic or the Social Garlic Plant, is grown for its showy and fragrant flowers. This ornamental garlic is an herbaceous perennial that grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and 25 cm wide. Tulbaghia Milky Way Details

Tulbaghia Milky Way, commonly known as Society Garlic or the Social Garlic Plant, is grown for its showy and fragrant flowers. Clusters of pink-white flowers are borne from summer until autumn on stems that rise above the foliage. These are held above the narrow, dark green, strap like foliage which releases a garlic odour when bruised. This ornamental garlic is an herbaceous perennial that grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and 25 cm wide, and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of mild frost and may die back during winter to regrow again when conditions warm. The Social Garlic Plant is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in borders and herb gardens, maintained in a container, or mass planted for an impressive show.
