Rose Westerland

“Westerland” is a popular climbing rose that features masses of salmon-apricot coloured flowers. They are borne continuously from late spring until autumn and are complemented with lush and glossy, dark green leaves. This deciduous plant typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide, and is generally pruned back each winter by up to two-thirds. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site, and is tolerant of cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. “Westerland” is commonly trained along a fence or other support structure, added to a mixed planting, included in a cottage garden, or used where a colourful and long flowering plant is required.
