Abelia grandiflora Edward Goucher produces stunning flowers and attractive foliage. This easy to grow shrub produces sweetly fragrant, lilac-coloured flowers from spring through autumn. The foliage comprises finely textured, glossy, dark green leaves which develop purplish-bronze tones during autumn. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. This Glossy Abelia grows best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and dry periods.
