Abelia grandiflora Snow Showers, commonly known as Glossy Abelia, is grown for its variegated foliage and dainty flowers. The leaves on this Glossy Abelia are variegated green with a cream edge and are held on red stems. As the cooler months progress the leaves develop grey undertones. Clusters of small, white flowers are produced from spring through summer, adding additional vibrancy to this evergreen shrub. It typically grows to only 50 cm tall and 80 cm wide, growing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and dry periods.
