Abelia triflora, commonly known as the Himalayan Abelia, is a semi-deciduous shrub that is favoured for its fragrant flowers. It features green foliage that turns bronze-red in autumn. The foliage is complemented with pink, bell-shaped flowers in summer that have a vanilla scent. It grows with an upright habit to about 6 m tall and 3 m wide, though it can be trimmed as necessary. This shrub performs best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, dry periods, and some wind.
