Abutilon megapotamicum, commonly known as Brazilian Bellflower, Trailing Abutilon, or Flowering Maple, is an elegant shrub with red and yellow flowers from spring through autumn. It has lush, dark green foliage and typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide. Abutilon megapotamicum, commonly known as Brazilian Bellflower, Trailing Abutilon, or Flowering Maple, is an elegant shrub grown for its showy, lantern-shaped flowers. The red and yellow flowers are produced from spring through autumn and is complemented with lush, dark green foliage that serves as a pleasant backdrop. The Brazilian Bellflower typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide and responds well to trimming which encourages fresh, new growth.
