Acacia boormanii Details

Acacia boormanii, commonly known as the Snowy River Wattle, is a large shrub that is grown for its masses of bright yellow flowers that coat the plant during late winter and early spring. It has mid-green, fern-like foliage and grows with an upright and spreading habit to about 4.5 m tall and 3 m wide. It can be contained with trimming as necessary, however. This is a hardy shrub that will grow on most soils provided they have good drainage. It should be positioned in full sun, and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and extended dry periods. Acacia boormanii is commonly grown as a specimen, used for screening and shelter, or included in coastal plantings.
