Acacia cognata Curvaceous, commonly known as the River Wattle, is a shrub grown for its attractive foliage and form. It has soft, weeping, mid-green foliage and grows as a spreading mound. Small, pale yellow, ball shaped flowers are sometimes produced in spring. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is frost tolerant and will grow well in coastal environments though does benefit from having wind protection. Acacia cognata Curvaceous is commonly used as an informal hedge, grown in a container, or included in mixed plantings. It looks outstanding when mass planted and allowed to spill over walls, paths, and the like. This is a lovely plant that will provide year-round pleasure.
