Artemisia arborescens, commonly known as Wormwood, is a quick-growing, evergreen shrub that has aromatic, silver-grey foliage. In late spring it produces clusters of yellow, daisy-like flowers which are well matched to the foliage. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best in full sun and needs good drainage. Once established it will tolerate dry periods, wind, coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates. Artemisia arborescens is a great plant for adding contrast to the garden particularly with other foliage types and darker colours.
