Commonly known as Grey Saltbush, this is a hardy and somewhat unusual shrub that is perfect for coastal gardens. It features upright stems that host grey leaves with an architectural flair. It grows with a somewhat spreading habit to about 50 cm tall and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results are achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained site, and it is tolerant of coastal environments, wind, extended dry periods, and moderate frost. The Grey Saltbush is commonly used in borders, added to mixed plantings, maintained in a container, used to provide textural and colour contrasts, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, or used anywhere a hardy and low maintenance plant is required.
