Aucuba Mr Goldstrike is a variety of the commonly known, Aucuba Japanese Laurel, and features lustrous, dark green foliage speckled and-splashed with golden yellow. The foliage is complemented with purple flowers in spring which are borne in loose clusters and result in bright green berries that mature to bright red in winter.  This evergreen shrub typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best when planted in a shaded or semi-shaded position on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of moderate frost and dry periods, though young plants should be protected while they establish.
