Azalea Dr Yates Details

Azalea Dr Yates is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, deciduous shrub produces small but very showy trusses of crimson red flowers in spring. It grows with a rounded shape to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill the plant. Azalea Dr Yates is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, planting as a backdrop for smaller plants, adding a splash of colour to a dull corner, or for planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
