Azalea Empress of India is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of double, deep rose-coloured flowers from winter until late spring. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods.
