“Fielders White” is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of showy, single, mildly fragrant, white flowers from autumn through spring. The flowers are complemented with lush, dark green leaves which contrast nicely with the blooms. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, preferring a full sun or partial shade position that is well-drained, slightly acidic, semi-sheltered, and does not dry out. It is tolerant of moderate frost but intolerant of lime which can cause serious damage to plants and even death. “Fielders White” makes a fantastic addition to a mixed or border planting, and is great for providing a splash of colour to a garden. It suits being planted around outdoor living areas, including in “white” gardens, growing in a container, or being mass planted. This is a rewarding plant that is low maintenance and easy to grow.
