Azalea Mrs Kint is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of medium sized, pink flowers with a white edge from winter until late spring. These are held abreast of the glossy, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods and should be protected from heavy frost while establishing. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Mrs Kint is a great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed or border planting, planting around outdoor living areas, including in cottage gardens, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. A mass planting produces an amazing display.
