Azalea Mrs Kint White is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of showy, single, pure white flowers from winter until late spring. These are held abreast of the glossy, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods and should be protected from heavy frost while establishing. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Mrs Kint White is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, including in white gardens and cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required. Cluster planting is very trendy and gives a colourful display.
