Azalea Mucronatum Alba is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, deciduous shrub produces masses of white, softly scented flowers from winter until late spring. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Mucronatum Alba is a great choice for growing in a container, adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, including in cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
