Azalea Pink Ice is a popular variety due to its lovely form and profuse flowering through winter and spring. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, semi-double, mauve-pink flowers. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a full sun or semi-shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cool climates, but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants.
