Azalea Tico Tico Details

“Tico Tico” is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of semi-double, light purple-pink flowers from late winter through spring. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. “Tico Tico” is a great choice for container growing, planting around larger trees and shrubs, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. Cluster planting one cultivar with another cultivar is very trendy and gives a tremendous display.
