Banksia integrifolia Prostrate, Prostrate Banksia, Prostrate Banksia Ground Cover
Banksia integrifolia prostrate is a low-growing shrub that is favoured for its foliage and flowers and often used as a ground cover plant. It produces yellow flower spikes up to 20 cm long from winter through until summer. The dark green leaves serve as a pleasant backdrop to the flowers. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and 2 m wide, though can be trimmed as necessary. This prostrate Banksia is commonly used as a ground cover, included in mixed plantings, planted to attract birds, or used anywhere a hardy and attractive plant is required. It looks amazing when allowed to spill over a wall or when mass planted on a bank.
