Banksia praemorsa, commonly known as the Cut-Leaf Banksia, is an upright shrub grown for its foliage and flowers. It produces burgundy coloured flower spikes up to 30 cm long from winter through until summer which are great for attracting birds. The dark green leaves serve as a pleasant backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide. The Cut-Leaf Banksia is commonly included in mixed plantings, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted to attract birds, grown as an informal hedge, or used anywhere a hardy and attractive plant is required.
