Banksia serrata, commonly known as the Saw Banksia or the Old Man Banksia tree, is a shrub renowned for its flowers and stems. It produces a cylindrical spike of cream-coloured flowers, upwards of 30 cm long. These are produced through winter and spring and sit neatly with the dark green foliage as it grows to about 10 m tall and 6 m wide. Banksia serrata is a fantastic plant for mixed plantings, coastal gardens, and for bringing both colour and wildlife into the garden.
