The leaves have an interesting underside which is white and felted, just like the branches. Cream-coloured flowers are produced in abundance through spring and add considerable appeal to this plant. Rangiora typically grows to 2.5 m high and 1.5 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Brachyglottis repanda is a great plant for mixed plantings, regeneration plantings, native gardens, coastal gardens, or planting anywhere an attractive native is required.

Brachyglottis repanda, commonly known as Rangiora or the Toilet Paper Tree, is a NZ native shrub that features large and lush foliage. The leaves have an interesting underside which is white and felted, just like the branches. Cream-coloured flowers are produced in abundance through spring and add considerable appeal to this plant. It typically grows to 2.5 m high and 1.5 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Rangiora performs best in partial shade on a well-drained site though it will grow well in full sun also but tends to produce smaller leaves. This hardy plant is tolerant of dry periods, frost, and cool climates but should not be grown on heavy, wet soils. Brachyglottis repanda is a great plant for mixed plantings, regeneration plantings, native gardens, coastal gardens, or planting anywhere an attractive native is required.
