Brachyglottis repanda purpurea, Bushmans Friend, Toilet Paper Leaves, Purple Rangiora
Brachyglottis repanda purpurea, commonly known as Purple Rangiora or Bushmans Friend, is a NZ native shrub that features large, light purple-green leaves. The leaves have an interesting underside which is white and felted, just like the branches. The foliage is complemented in spring with cream-coloured flowers as it grows to 2.5 m high and 1.5 m wide. Brachyglottis repanda purpurea is a great plant for mixed plantings, regeneration plantings, native gardens, coastal gardens, or planting anywhere an attractive native is required.
