It features small, bright green leaves which age to dark green as it grows to 2 m tall and the same wide. This Boxwood is often trimmed to smaller sizes which increases the denseness of the plant and encourages new growth. Buxus microphylla is often trimmed into a formal hedge, included in a mixed planting, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
