Callistemon Candy Pink Details

Callistemon kenmorrisonii Candy Pink is a fast-growing shrub grown for its bottlebrush like flowers. The flowers are candy pink and produced throughout the year, but predominantly in spring. The mid green foliage is produced with a somewhat weeping habit and complements the flowers nicely. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide but is often pruned back to just behind the flowers after the spring flush. Candy Pink grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It tolerates a wide variety of climatic conditions including frost and coastal environments as well as most soil types making it an easy to grow and relatively low maintenance plant. Callistemon Candy Pink is commonly used for screening and shelter, as a lovely specimen, a filler, or it can be clipped into a hedge. Space plants 50-60 cm apart for hedging.
