Callistemon Icy Burst is grown for its attractive foliage and bottlebrush-like flowers. Masses of the showy, white flower spikes are produced though spring and summer, and are great for attracting birds and bees. It typically grows to 1.3 m tall and 75 cm wide, but is often pruned back to just behind the flowers after the spring flush. It tolerates a wide variety of climatic conditions including moderate frost, dry periods, coastal environments, and most soil types barring the extremes of wet and dry. Callistemon Icy Burst is an easy to grow and relatively low maintenance plant that is commonly used in mixed plantings, grown as a small specimen, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container.
