Callistemon John Mashlan, John Mashlan Callistemon, John Mashlan Bottlebrush
Callistemon John Mashlan is a vigorous shrub renowned for its attractive foliage and bottlebrush like flowers. New leaves emerge silver-pink and turn mid-green as they age. The foliage serves as a pleasant backdrop to the masses of pink, bottlebrush-like flowers that appear in clusters from spring through autumn. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide but is often pruned back to just behind the flowers after the spring flush. Callistemon John Mashlan is commonly used for screening and shelter, grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, or clipped into a hedge.
