Callistemon MacArthur is a smaller variety of Bottlebrush that grows to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide. The bottlebrush-like flowers are red, and while they appear throughout the year, peak blooming occurs through summer and autumn. The flowers are set amidst the narrow, mid-green foliage which is held densely. This evergreen grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site and tolerates a wide variety of climatic conditions including frost, coastal environments, and most soil types, barring the extremes of wet and dry. Callistemon MacArthur is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or clipped into a hedge. This is an easy to grow, versatile, and low maintenance Bottlebrush plant.
