Camellia ‘Buttons ‘n Bows’ is an evergreen shrub that produces perfectly shaped, double flowers which have outer petals that are deep pink and near white inner petals. The inner petals are attractively curved and fluted and contribute to making this a very eye catching plant from spring through early summer. The foliage is glossy green and elegant in its own right. It is relatively compact plant, typically growing to 1.5 m tall and 1 m wide, and performs best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. Camellia ‘Buttons ‘n Bows’ is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container.
