Camellia cuspidata Details

Camellia cuspidata is an evergreen shrub that produces masses of small, single, white flowers from late winter through spring. It bears small, dark green, leathery leaves which contrast perfectly with the flowers. It grows somewhat densely to about 3 m tall and the same wide though can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. Camellia cuspidata is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. For hedging space plants 60 cm apart.
