Camellia japonica Dahlohenga

Camellia japonica Dahlohenga is an evergreen shrub that produces semi-double, cream-white flowers with yellow highlights from spring until early summer. The leaves are glossy green and provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It grows relatively compactly with an upright growth habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. Camellia japonica Dahlohenga is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container. For hedging space plants 60 cm apart.
