Camellia x williamsii Daintiness

Camellia x williamsii Daintiness is a hybrid variety that produces semi-double, mid-pink blooms with showy, golden stamens. These are produced from winter through spring and are complemented with the glossy, green foliage. This evergreen shrub grows relatively compactly to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of moderate frost once established as well as cool, and humid climates. Camellia x williamsii Daintiness is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container on a patio or the like.
