Camellia Dahlohenga Details

Camellia japonica Dahlohenga is an evergreen shrub that produces semi-double, cream-white flowers with yellow highlights from spring until early summer. The leaves are glossy green and provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It grows relatively compactly with an upright growth habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. Camellia Dahlohenga is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container. For hedging space plants 60 cm apart.
