Great Eastern Camellia, Camellia japonica Great Eastern
Camellia japonica Great Eastern produces large and showy, double, red flowers with a pink undertone during spring and autumn. The foliage is glossy, dark green, and quite appealing in its own right as it grows to 1.2 m tall and 1.8 m wide. Camellia Great Eastern is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
