Camellia sasanqua Paradise Blush

Camellia sasanqua Paradise Blush is an evergreen shrub that produces showy, white blooms that are blushed with pink. These spectacular, semi-double flowers are borne in autumn and contrast nicely with the glossy, dark green foliage. It is relatively compact plant with an upright growth habit and typically reaches 3 m tall and the same wide, though it can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. Camellia sasanqua Paradise Blush is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container. For hedging space plants 60 cm apart.

Camellia Paradise Blush Hedge

A Camellia Paradise Blush hedge begins with spacing the plants correctly. A 60 cm spacing will achieve a dense hedge quickly and will fill in nicely at the base. If larger size grades (25L or bigger) are purchased the plants can be spaced 1 m apart. To achieve a fantastic Camellia Paradise Blush hedge lightly trim the plants in spring and again in autumn.
