Camellia sasanqua Paradise Helen is an attractive, free flowering variety of Camellia renowned for its impressive flowering. It produces masses of showy, double, white blooms which are mildly fragrant, and contrast nicely with the glossy, dark green leaves. This evergreen shrub grows relatively compactly with an upright growth habit and typically reaches 2.5 m tall and the same wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established.
