Camellia sasanqua Chansonette is an evergreen shrub that is renowned for its large and showy, brilliant pink blooms. These double flowers are mildly fragrant and produced through spring and autumn. The foliage is glossy green and complements the flowers nicely. This relatively compact plant typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 1.5 m wide with best performance achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established.
