Camellia x williamsii Anticipation is an evergreen shrub that produces showy, double, rose-pink flowers. The flowers are produced from winter through spring and provide elegance to the semi-glossy, green leaves. It grows with an erect and almost columnar habit to about 2.5 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Best performance with the variety is achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of moderate frost once established as well as cool, and humid climates. Camellia Anticipation is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants. It is also well suited to being maintained in a container on a patio or the like.
