Ceratopetalum Rubies n Lace Details

Ceratopetalum Rubies n Lace, commonly known as the Christmas Bush, is a stunning, evergreen shrub favoured for its colourful flowers. Masses of red-pink, star shaped flowers open during spring literally transform the plant. The flowers result in small red fruits which will stay on the plant for many weeks. The fine, glossy, dark green foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the flowers and berries. The narrow leaves emerge a rich, copper-red colour and age to dark green. It typically grows to 5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of dry periods, some wind, and coastal environments. Ceratopetalum Rubies n Lace is commonly used as a specimen, as a small shade tree, as a colourful screening plant, or planted in clusters to make a statement in the landscape.
