Chaenomeles Red Rambler is a hardy shrub that features lovely flowers in winter. This deciduous shrub produces an arching network of thorny branches that host clusters of flowers buds that open during winter to reveal deep-red blooms. The leaves emerge fresh green in spring, age to become dark green, then develop yellow and red tones in autumn before falling as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Chaenomeles Red Rambler is commonly grown for floral art, used as an informal hedge, added to mixed plantings, used in cottage gardens, or planted to provide winter colour.
