It is widely used as a cut flower which lasts for well over a week when cut. It grows as a medium sized shrub and produces dark pink flowers from late winter through into summer. The leaves are narrow and highly aromatic when crushed. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide with a somewhat open habit.
