Choisya ternata (x dewitteana) White Dazzler, commonly known as Mexican Orange, is an evergreen shrub grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. It bears glossy, dark green foliage which serves as a stunning backdrop to the flowers. The plant is transformed by clusters of small and scented, white flowers through spring and summer which emerge from pink buds. It typically grows with a rounded shape to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of dry periods and moderate frost once established. Choisya White Dazzler is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, maintained in a container, planted around outdoor living areas, planted to soften a dull space, included in cottage or “white” gardens, or planted around entrances. This Mexican Orange looks great in almost any garden which is why it is so popular.
