Coprosma Beatsons Gold, commonly known as Mirror Bush, is a NZ native shrub renowned for the variegated foliage and distinctive, horizontal branching pattern. The narrow and oval leaves are coloured lime-yellow with a rim of crisp, dark green. It typically grows to 1.5 m high and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance and leaf colouring is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, dry periods, and coastal environments. Coprosma Beatsons Gold is an excellent landscaping plant due to its colour and versatility. It is commonly clipped into a hedge, included in mixed plantings, maintained in a container, planted around pool and barbecue areas, or planted to soften a bland wall. Space plants 75 cm apart for hedging.
