Coprosma repens Copper Shine, commonly known as Mirror Bush, is a delightful shrub that features small, glossy leaves that emerge with copper tones, and age to become mid-green. These are held on spreading branches as the shrub grows to 1.5 m high and 1 m wide. It will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions but can be frost sensitive when young. It should be grown in full sun on a well-drained site, but is tolerant of dry periods, wind, and coastal environments. Coprosma Copper Shine is commonly included in mixed plantings, planted around the pool or barbecue areas, maintained in a container, or planted in those more difficult to grow areas. It makes for a lovely hedge and when grown for this purpose plants should be spaced 50 cm apart.
