Coprosma Galaxy is a NZ native shrub grown for its colourful foliage. The small, green leaves are flecked with gold and held on slender, dark stems. This evergreen grows with a narrow and upright habit to about 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary which encourages new growth. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This hardy plant will tolerate most soils, barring extreme wet or dry, as well as coastal conditions, wind, and moderate frost. Coprosma Galaxy is commonly trimmed into a hedge, included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, or planted around outdoor living areas. When grown for hedging plants should be spaced 75 cm apart.
