Coprosma Green and Gold, commonly known as Mirror Bush, is a colourful and vibrant variety of Coprosma that provides year-round interest. This variety has variegated leaves that are yellow with a green centre. The brightness of the foliage gives a warm feeling to the garden even on those cold, wet days. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Most intense colouring does occur when planted in full sun. This hardy plant will tolerate moderate frost, coastal environments, and most soil conditions, barring the extremes of wet and dry. Coprosma Green and Gold is commonly grown as a specimen, trimmed into a hedge, included in a mixed planting, planted around pool or barbecue areas, maintained in a container, or used to provide a fresh element to a dull area. Space plants 60 cm apart when growing as a hedge.
