Coprosma Middlemore Details

Coprosma Middlemore, commonly known as Mirror Bush, is a NZ native shrub featuring lush and glossy, emerald-green foliage. This variety is an evergreen that grows with an upright and compact habit to about 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of most soil conditions, except at the extremes of wet and dry. It is also tolerant of coastal conditions, moderate frost, and wind. Coprosma Middlemore is commonly included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and barbecue areas, or used anywhere an attractive, hardy, and low maintenance shrub is required.

Coprosma Middlemore Hedge

To grow a Coprosma Middlemore hedge, the plants should be spaced 40-50 cm apart. If you desire a dense hedge faster, feel free to space them 30-40 cm apart. Trimming should be undertaken during active growth in spring with just the sides trimmed so the plants continue to grow upwards. Most Coprosma Middlemore hedges are kept to about 80-100 cm tall and with regular trimming they look amazing!
