Coprosma parviflora, commonly known as Leafy Coprosma, is a small-leaved, New Zealand native shrub. It features prominent branches with small and leathery, green leaves. Tiny white flowers produced in spring result in yellow-purple berries in summer. It will grow to about 3 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Leaf Coprosma grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site, though it is tolerant of frost, coastal environments, dry soil conditions, and swampy ground. Coprosma parviflora is commonly included in mixed plantings, grown as an interesting hedge, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or included in riparian plantings.
